The version of LightWave controlling SN cannot also render at the same
time, but... (see below)

Not really.

Bingo! You can start up a version of ScreamerNet on the host machine and
it will find itself as a node!
Tip: keep the controlling LW version in front otherwise it can bog down
sending jobs while the SN node version is rendering.
